Jeffrey D Stone, DMD,MD
Dr. Stone is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, who joined Lowell Oral Surgery Associates, Inc, in 1982. A graduate of the University of Kansas, he received his DMD and MD degrees from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Harvard Medical School. Following completion of Oral Surgery and General Surgery training at the Massachusetts General Hospital, he became Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN, before returning to the Boston area as Clinical Instructor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at MGH and Harvard before joining Lowell Oral Surgery Associates.
He has served as President of the Massachusetts Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, president of Saints Medical Center hospital medical staff, Trustee of Saints Medical Center, and an American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery examiner and section chairman. As chairman of the AAOMS committees of coding, and healthcare advocacy, he received the 2006 AAOMS Committee Person of the Year award for his work on those committees.
Dr. Stone presently serves on the Patient Care Assessment Committee and Operating Room Committee of Saints Medical Center; and as a representative of AAOMS to the American Association of Dental Consultants. A member of the OMSNIC (Oral Maxillofacial Surgery National Insurance Company) Advisory Panel since 1999, he also serves on that company's Risk Management Committee
