Joshua Dobbins, DMD

Dr. Joshua Dobbins is a board-eligible oral and maxillofacial surgeon who completed his surgical training at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Eastman Institute for Oral Health in Rochester, NY. His clinical interests include dentoalveolar surgery, office-based anesthesia, benign oral pathology, facial trauma, minimally invasive TMJ surgery, and orthognathic surgery.

Dr. Dobbins grew up in Bedford, New Hampshire and graduated as an Honors Scholar from the University of Connecticut, where he studied Biomedical Engineering. That foundation sparked a passion for precision and problem-solving that ultimately led him to dentistry — the perfect blend of technical skill and patient care. He earned his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2018, then completed a hospital-based General Practice Residency at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Working closely with the OMS team there confirmed his decision to pursue surgical specialty training.

Before residency, Dr. Dobbins practiced as a general dentist. That experience deepened his respect for comprehensive care and the referring provider relationship — and reinforced his commitment to pursuing oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Dr. Dobbins believes caring for patients is an incredible privilege. He understands the anxiety that often accompanies surgical visits and is dedicated to making every patient feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

Outside of the office, he enjoys biking, hiking, ice hockey and golf. Above all, he treasures time with his wife Jenna, daughter Sofia, and dog Zola
